Dosage:
- For pools with visible algae growth: Add an initial dose of 11 to 17 fl. oz. per 10,000 gallons of water. Remove settled algae debris by cleaning.
- For treatment of a freshly cleaned and filled pool: Add initially 6 to 11 fl. oz. per 10,000 gallons of water.
- Maintenance dose: Add 2 to 4 fl. oz. per 10,000 gallons of water every 5 to 7 days after initial treatment.
For spas, whirlpools, hot tubs, decorative fountains, and ponds:
- With visible algae growth: An initial dose of 0.5 fl. oz. - 1 fl. oz. per 500 gallons of water.
- For treatment of freshly filled systems: Start with a dose of 0.3 fl. oz. - 0.5 fl. oz.
- Maintenance dose: Add 0.5 fl. oz. - 0.8 fl. oz. every 5 to 7 days.
For winter and off-season algae treatment:
- For pools treated during the regular swimming season and visibly free of algae: Add 7 - 11 fl. oz. per 10,000 gallons of water.
- For pools with some visible algae: Use 13 - 19 fl. oz.
- Reapplication: May be necessary if the pool is not covered or if there is visible algae growth occurring.
Algaecide Compatibility:
- This algaecide is compatible with other pool chemicals used to regularly treat a swimming pool, such as chlorine, and may reduce the need for other pool chemicals.
- Do not mix with any other material, including concentrated dry or liquid chlorine!
